A two-year GCSE English course, and an examiner to mark every essay – for £14.99 a month
Each month teaches one part of the GCSE – narrative and persuasive writing, the set texts, exam technique – with a full scheme of work, lessons, assignments and tasks in text, video and audio. And the examiner I built myself marks every piece your child writes, without limit.
See the two ways to joinThe one thing every GCSE student is missing
Ask any parent of a GCSE English student where the real difficulty lies, and you will hear the same answer. Your child writes a practice essay. Then it sits there. You can tell it is not bad, but you cannot say whether it is a grade 4 or a grade 7 – or what single change would move it up a level. The one person who can tell you, an examiner, charges thirty to forty pounds an hour, and is usually already booked.
I was that examiner for thirty-five years, as a Head of English and a marker of many thousands of GCSE scripts. So I built two things: a complete two-year English course, taught the way I would teach it in a classroom – and an examiner, built by me, from my own marking, using nothing but my own standards, that checks your child’s work in seconds.
A two-year course, taught month by month
Each month takes one area of GCSE English – narrative writing, persuasive writing, one of the set literature texts, how to approach the exam – and gives your child a proper scheme of work: text lessons to teach it, assignments to apply it, and a range of short and long tasks to practise it, with video and audio throughout. Over twenty-four months it covers the whole of what a GCSE English student needs, in order, without gaps. It is not a folder of downloads. It is a taught programme.
An examiner I built myself
The marking is not a generic chatbot with a subscription bolted on. I built it, trained on my own thirty-five years of examining and my standards alone. Your child pastes in an answer and it comes back marked against the assessment objectives for their board – an estimated level, what is already working, and the one change that would lift the grade – in seconds, not the days a person needs. They can use it as many times as they like, right up to the exam.
And the rest
There are interactive quizzes that find the exact topics your child is weakest on, and a standing 15% discount for members on every guide in the shop. All of it – the course, the examiner and the tools – for less in a whole month than a private tutor charges for a single hour.
Two ways to join
Both tiers include the full two-year curriculum, unlimited marking from the examiner I built, the toolkit and the member discount. Gold adds essays marked by hand, by me.

The questions parents ask
How is the course structured?
Each month takes one area of GCSE English – narrative, persuasive writing, a set text, exam technique – with a scheme of work, text lessons, assignments and a mix of short and long tasks, taught through text, video and audio. Twenty-four months cover the whole course, in order.
Who marks the work, and is it accurate?
The everyday marking is done by an examiner I built myself, trained on my own thirty-five years of marking – so it applies my standards, not a generic model’s, and marks against your board’s assessment objectives. On Gold, I also mark a set number of essays by hand each month.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Two clicks, whenever you wish. There is no contract and no notice period.
Why isn’t it free?
Because it is a two-year taught course and an examiner built from thirty-five years of marking. It costs less in a whole month than a single hour with a private tutor.
Standard or Gold – what is the difference?
Both include the full course and unlimited marking from the examiner I built. Gold adds a set number of essays marked by my own hand each month, with detailed written feedback.
Which exam boards do you cover?
AQA, Edexcel, OCR and WJEC Eduqas.
