Unseen Poetry Study Guide

The Unseen Poetry Complete Study Guide explains how the AQA unseen poetry question works (two questions, the assessment objectives and grade bands) and teaches a five-minute reading system for annotating a poem before writing. It then covers form and structure, language analysis at Grades 5, 7 and 9, graded practice poems at three difficulty levels, and a method for the comparison question (Question 2) with comparison phrases and a worked response. It finishes with three timed mock responses at Grade 8 and 9 and an exam-day plan for reading, planning and writing in 45 minutes, including what to do when you can’t find anything to say.
